The way back – Through Russia and the Baltics back to Germany

After one day relaxing in Kazan I continued to Moscow. In the middle of nowhere I unexpectedly met Rah, the motorcyclist from Singapore who was traveling with us through China. How small the world is! Shortly before I reached Moscow I spent several hours in the beautiful city of Suzdal. This city was once the seat of the royal family. Beautiful churches and magnificent monasteries are witnesses of a golden period. When the Transsiberian Railway was built it was connected to the city Vladimir and therefore the city of Suzdal wasn’t important for the industry, which saved the ambient of this place.

Spring arrived here as well

Many churches here

What an ambient!

In Moscow my friend Johannes joined me to drive the last stage to both our hometown. We could stay for several days in the flat of Ruti, who I met on my journey to India in a bar in Laos. He was a great host, city guide andalso loves writing travel reports (www.rutisreisen.de).

The metro of Moscow was almost like a museum

One of the “Seven Sisters”. Stalin ordered to build seven of those buildings in the socialist classicism style but only six were build in Russia. Similar buildings can be found in Riga and Warsaw

    Hallo Matthias,

toller Blog!

    Schöner Schreibstil übrigens (:

    Liebste Grüße
    Lu ♥
